Auto Edge Detection
DocFila finds the page edges for you, using your phone's document scanner and its own edge detection. Point and capture, and drag the corners if the crop needs adjusting. A contrasting background helps, and results vary with angle and shadows.
On-Device OCR
OCR runs on your device for Latin-script languages (such as English, Spanish and French), Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Devanagari (Hindi). Arabic, Cyrillic and Greek have no on-device model; for signed-in members DocFila can send such a page to its AI service when the on-device pass finds nothing. Scanned text becomes searchable and copyable; check names and numbers, because OCR is not perfect.
Batch Scanning
Scanning a multi-page contract or a stack of receipts? Use batch mode to capture page after page without leaving the scanner. DocFila combines them into a single PDF.
Perspective Correction
Shoot from a slight angle — DocFila corrects perspective distortion so your document looks flat. Useful for whiteboards, posters, or documents pinned to walls; the straighter you shoot, the better the result.
Filters & Enhancement
Choose from filters such as grayscale, black and white, high contrast, and original color, and use shadow removal on uneven light. Brightness and contrast sliders let you fine-tune the result.
Multi-Page PDF Export
Combine scans into multi-page PDFs. Choose the page size (A4, Letter, Legal or A3) and share via email or any app on your phone's share sheet.

Point Your Camera
Hold your phone above the document you want to scan. Keep the full page in frame — DocFila works at any reasonable angle or distance.
Auto-Detect Edges
DocFila shows the detected edges as you line up the page. If you want to adjust, drag the corner handles to fine-tune the crop area before confirming.
Enhance Your Scan
Apply filters, adjust brightness and contrast, or rotate the scan. For text-heavy documents, the grayscale filter with sharpening produces the cleanest results.
Save as PDF
Export your scan as a searchable PDF. Keep it in your DocFila library or vault, share it via email or your phone's share sheet, or back up to Google Drive from Settings.
